Cookie Policy
How the Brightwildlife website uses cookies and browser storage.
Last updated: September 2026
This policy explains how brightwildlife.com uses cookies and similar technologies when you browse the site — whether you're checking the menu, reading about our in-person poker evenings or sending a reservation request for dinner or a poker night.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. We also use browser localStorage, which works similarly but stays on your device until cleared.
2. Cookies we use
Necessary
Required for the site to function — for example, remembering that you've made a cookie choice so the banner doesn't keep reappearing. These can't be switched off without breaking the site.
Preferences
Used to remember choices you make — such as your cookie consent selection stored in localStorage under the key restaurant_cookie_choice, or whether you've browsed pages like the menu or our poker night information. Nothing in this category tracks you across other websites.
Analytics
If enabled, analytics cookies help us understand which pages are visited — for instance, how many people read the poker night page or open the menu — so we can keep the site useful. Data is aggregated and not used to identify you.
3. Forms and local storage
Our reservation forms (for restaurant tables, private events and poker night places) do not store your details in cookies — form data is submitted only when you press "Book a Table". Reserving a poker evening place works exactly the same way. The cookie consent choice is the main item kept in local storage.
4. Third-party cookies
The Google Maps embed on our booking page may set cookies managed by Google — for example when you check directions before a dinner reservation or a poker evening. We don't control these; Google's own policies apply. External messenger links (WhatsApp, Viber) only activate when you choose to use them.
5. Managing or changing your choice
You can change your cookie choice at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings — the consent banner will appear again on your next visit, whether you're checking the menu or booking a poker night. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies entirely; the site will still work, though the banner may return.
